Katie Troyan

Katie Troyan

Hearing Instrument Specialist
Katie became interested in hearing and helping the hard of hearing because her grandfather had issues with his hearing and was becoming more isolated. He decided to get help for his hearing, a hearing test was done and showed that he had a hearing impairment. He proceeded with getting hearing instruments to help improve his hearing and lifestyle. Katie was so inspired at the change she saw in her grandfather; she asked to shadow the hearing health practitioner for a day to see if this was something that she would want to do for the rest of her life. She saw all the good things that helping people hear again and the doors it opens for them. It was then she knew this was the job for her. Katie received her Bachelor of Science Honors from the University of Guelph and her Hearing Instrument Specialist diploma from Conestoga college. Since her graduation in 2007 she has seen so many amazing improvements in technology to help the hard of hearing and can’t wait to see what the future holds. Katie is excited to meet you and see how she can help you hear the sounds of life you may be missing.
