Drew McCormick

Co-Owner and Audiologist
Drew McCormick is a Co-Owner and Audiologist with a Master of Clinical Science in Audiology from Western University and an Honours Bachelor of Arts and Science in Psychology from McMaster University, where he focused on psychology, neuroscience, and music cognition. His research at McMaster explored the relationship between speech, language development, and rhythmic perception in the developing brain. Since 2018, Drew has been working in the hearing care industry, gaining extensive experience in pediatric audiology from his time at Grandview Children's Treatment Centre in Oshawa. He is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for his patients through early intervention and personalized care. His background in psychology and music allows him to blend the arts and sciences in his audiological practice, aiming to connect people of all abilities with their loved ones and improve their overall well-being. Outside of his professional life, Drew enjoys being a dad, listening to music and podcasts, running in his limited free time, and delving into some sci-fi.
Amanda Hook

Amanda Hook

Co-Owner and Audiologist
Amanda Hook is a Co-Owner and Audiologist who earned her Doctorate in Audiology from Wayne State University in 2015. Her passion for audiology began during her time in the Communication Disorders Post-Bachelor's Program at Durham College in 2010. Amanda’s academic journey started at Brock University, where she obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and discovered her love for working with people and their communities. Amanda has extensive experience working in busy, diverse clinics with individuals of all ages and abilities. She enjoys educating patients and physicians on the importance of early intervention in treating hearing loss. During her year teaching audiology courses at Durham College, she emphasized to her students the importance of finding their passion and making it their career. Amanda was born and raised in Whitby and now has a family of her own. Alongside her husband, she is raising two strong, independent daughters, hoping they will also find and pursue their passions.
